Pui Him Ip is a philosophical theologian trained in theoretical physics, philosophy, and early Christian thought. He is the Director of Tutorial Programme at The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion and an affiliated lecturer at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. He is also a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Videnskab og Tro, Faculty of Theology, University of Copenhagen. He is the author of Origen and the Emergence of Divine Simplicity before Nicaea, published by the University of Notre Dame Press in 2022 (paperback 2024). His current research seeks to articulate an understanding of physics as a contemplative activity, drawing from late antique disciplinary thinking, the concept of simplicity, the philosophy of Niels Bohr, and sociological analysis of the spirituality of science.
